SAA 2012 Dining Guide

Looking for a quick bite to eat?  Need a cup of coffee? Or hoping to find just what you’re craving?

No worries, the dining guide is here!  The host committee has pulled their collective knowledge and picked their recommended food/drink spots by Neighborhood and Category in this extensive dining guide.

You can download the full Excel spreadsheet, which is useful for sorting and keyword searching and contains hyperlinks to the restaurant’s website.  Or choose the ‘Print View’, which is best for printing, but does not contain hyperlinks.

You all are great! There was an article in this Sunday’s Boston Globe about restaurants in the Gaslamp Quarter, which I saved, but this is so comprehensive. Thanks so much.

  2. Mark Shelstad says:

Where to get a Sonora/TJ dog? Any loncheras nearby?

  3. Thanks for putting together the Google map. This will be so helpful!

As a native San Diegan, I will share with you the BEST “hole in the wall” Mexican restaurant. Las Cuatro Milpas is only a mile from the convention center. Everything is freshly made, including the tortillas. I recommend the chorizo con huevo or the rice, beans, and tamales. There can be a line, but it is definitely worth the wait as all the locals know. Get there early, it closes at 3.
